Troopers Hill - Walking with Cameras

In October 2008 a group of people went for a walk on Troopers Hill with their cameras. This was a public event organised by the Arts Development Unit and the Walking for Health Team at South Gloucestershire Council – it combined walking and photography.

It was a bright and breezy morning, but the weather was unsettled. Clouds were gathering by the end of the walk and there would be a violent thunderstorm later in the day.

Many good photographs were taken. A selection were used to make the audio-slideshow but some of everybody's pictures were included

Troopers Hill was a good place for exploring with cameras. It offers much variation, several environments (heath, woodland, river etc.) as well as intimate spaces and wide vistas within a short walk of each other.
